Remote Procurement Assistant (Malaysia Market)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Assistant familiar with Malaysia’s electronics manufacturing hubs and international trade procedures. You will coordinate warehousing solutions in the Klang Valley and Penang areas, manage cross-border freight from China, and optimize the supply chain for our IT hardware operations. You will serve as a professional bridge between our Chinese headquarters and Malaysian logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Warehousing & Distribution

• Identify and evaluate warehouse resources in Port Klang, Shah Alam, and the Penang Free Industrial Zones (FIZ).

• Oversee 3PL vendor performance and local warehouse management for sensitive electronics products.

China-Malaysia Freight Coordination

• Manage end-to-end logistics via Sea, Air, and Road (Cross-border trucking from China via Thailand to Malaysia).

• Optimize routes and handle international trade procedures, including cross-border payment coordination.

Logistics Dynamics & Compliance

• Knowledge of Malaysian Customs regulations, SST (Sales and Service Tax) exemptions for tech goods, and HS-code compliance.

• Familiarity with SIRIM certification requirements for electronic and IT products.

Essential Requirements

• Language Proficiency: Fluent English and Chinese are mandatory; Malay proficiency is a strong advantage for local vendor coordination.

• At least 2 years of experience in logistics or procurement within the Smart Hardware/IT sector.

• Must be currently residing in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur/Selangor or Penang preferred).

• Experience with Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) or Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) operations is highly preferred.
