Remote Procurement Assistant (Indonisia Market)

Position Overview

We are looking for a Logistics Assistant with in-depth knowledge of Indonesia’s complex logistics landscape and the electronics/IT hardware sector. You will manage warehouse solutions within the Jabodetabek area, coordinate cross-border shipments from China, and navigate Indonesia’s unique regulatory environment. This role is a vital link between our China team and local vendors, ensuring efficient and compliant supply chain operations in Southeast Asia’s largest market.

Key Responsibilities

Local Warehousing & Supply Chain Support

• Identify and evaluate warehouse resources in key hubs such as Cikarang, Marunda, and Tangerang.

• Assist in negotiating warehousing contracts and overseeing local inventory for IT components.

• Coordinate end-to-end supply chain movements, focusing on the “last-mile” delivery challenges in the archipelago.

Cross-border Transportation & Payment Coordination

• Manage sea and air freight from China to Indonesia (Tanjung Priok/Soekarno-Hatta) ensuring route optimization.

• Coordinate with local freight forwarders to manage door-to-door delivery and cross-border payment documentation.

Indonesia Customs & Compliance Expertise

• Navigate Indonesian customs regulations, including HS-code classification, SNI certifications, and LARTAS (Import Restrictions) compliance.

• Manage Import Licenses (API-U/P) documentation and VAT (11%) requirements for electronic goods.

China-Indonesia Communication Bridge

• Act as the primary local point of contact for daily communication with China-based teams in Chinese and English.

• Prepare bilingual (Bahasa Indonesia/English) shipping documents and customs declarations.

Essential Requirements

• Trilingual Proficiency: Native-level Bahasa Indonesia, plus fluent English and Chinese (spoken and written).

• At least 2 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or international trade within the Electronics/IT Tech industry.

• Must be currently residing in Indonesia with valid work authorization.

• Strong knowledge of Indonesia’s warehouse market, forwarder networks, and customs clearance (BOC) processes.
